It was an elementary school and children of that age like to come close, smile, and touch. They came close, smiled, and touched me, and I survived. It was a recipe for disaster but it went well and gave me hope for my future existence where I might actually come in contact with children, outside the occasional run-in in the grocery store.

You’ve been asked to do a five-minute presentation to a group of young schoolchildren on the topic of your choice. Describe your presentation.

Really?! A presentation to them? If I had to, I would hope I’d have the finesse of the lady in this video:

    1. Ha! Funny but true 🙂 Various school districts around the US will ask higher education and business folks into the schools so the kiddos get up close to people in various fields of work early on. I work in higher ed and was also representing the university at one of the local business organizations and was asked to serve. Alas, I said yes, and the rest as they say, is history!
