The Starving Activist is the sometimes-home for words. AR Neal (that’s me) finds them, cultivates them, and leaves them here. Enjoy.

Trifecta Week 66: Nana's Kitchen

I like this week's Trifecta Challenge. Don't get me wrong, I actually like them all. Maybe because it's Monday and we spent a lovely day eating with friends after church yesterday, or maybe it was the beautiful morning sky, but something about this week's prompt simply resonated.

I decided to go for a simple 33-word piece I call "Nana's Kitchen:"
Nana’s kitchen always smelled like country living at its best; no store-bought fake food here. Apple pies, pear tarts, blackberry jam, Hoppin’ John: she used everything from her garden to doctor each recipe.
