“Why did you hang up on me?” I rolled my eyes as I looked at the phone. “I didn’t hang up on you! It’s bad reception, I think.” The unseasonal weather meant I would drop signal quicker than I could blink. The sun spots had grown larger and the solar flares were causing problems everywhere. I’d tried contacting my superiors but they refused to alter their plan to rid the planet of its inhabitants. The people thought it was global warming or astronomical shifts, but I knew. It wouldn’t be so bad if I hadn’t gone and fallen for one.
