All of a sudden, the cubicle wall fell in on him. He didn't know why and at the moment it seemed irrelevant enough to make him laugh; there was pain and he realized the metal frame had pierced his side. He hummed a favorite tune, the one that had been playing on the radio before the shaking, crashing, and falling; he called his wife but had to leave a message: "Darling, I'm calling to say that I might not get home but that I love you. Our favorite song was on and whenever I hear it, I think of you."
