Daughter ran and her gas mask jiggled; Dad worried with each happy step that the toxic air would leak in. "C'mon Dad!" sounded more like "Mn Grd!" as she called over her shoulder. Out of the mist, the entrance tower appeared and she stopped suddenly. Maybe we'll take the masks off once we're inside, Dad thought. I'd love to see her smile again before the end comes. They say even the masks won't work forever. At least we'll go out smiling. He took her hand and they skipped into the amusement park together. It was a good afternoon out.
